3-D Workshop: Sonia Delaunay, Marcel Duchamp & Futurism

Today in class you will be experimenting with creating 3-dimenional shapes that are inspired by human form. You need to focus on the shape of human form to make these objects. You can use a single piece or multiple pieces of paper joined together to create your object(s). You can create a space for the human form or it can exist independently, its up to you.

I will have a soft-box set up for you to take pictures of your objects from different perspectives. The soft-box creates soft or no shadows with low light contrast. You will be taking pictures with your mobile phone of the object(s) you create from different perspectives, this will help you to see the form of the work you produce.

You will be bringing the pieces to your session with Mark to further develop for the 3d part of this project.

This activity is inspired by SONIA DELAUNAY/MARCEL DUCHAMP/FUTURISM Create 3d shapes including abstract representations of people in the design, see below for reference.
